Meet the Family
Castletown House was built in 1814. It is set in a beautiful rural area with the river Erkina bounding the southern end of the farm. The house and farm was purchased by John in 1960. We had the house completely refurbished in 1979. It was approved by Bord Failte in 1980 and we opened our Farm Guesthouse later that year. We are proud to say that “Castletown House” has won three major Tourism Awards in recent years.
We operate a sheep and calf to beef enterprise on the farm.
When you visit us please “make yourself at home” and you will be treated as our friends.
